Advanced DDC Controls & BMS Automation | Arvin Air
DDC Controls & Building Automation Systems (BMS)
At Arvin Air Systems, our licensed technicians specialize in Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Building Management Systems (BMS) design, installation, and management. DDC serves as the precise digital brain powering modern building automation connecting sensors, smart microprocessors, and mechanical equipment into a single unified network. Whether you are retrofitting an existing building automation system (BAS) or installing a complete DDC network from the ground up, our team provides custom strategies tailored to your facility’s layout and operational needs.
Expanding your facility’s building management system with modern Direct Digital Controls provides panel fabrication, sensor and actuator installation, network wiring, and custom software programming tailored precisely to your mechanical infrastructure. By implementing intelligent setback schedules, dynamic load management, and precise hardware sensors, facility owners gain complete visibility over energy usage while extending the operational lifespan of critical boilers, chillers, and air handling equipment.
Modernizing your commercial building with Direct Digital Controls delivers measurable operational and financial advantages. Beyond initial system design, Arvin Air Systems provides panel fabrication, sensor and actuator installation, network wiring, and custom software programming tailored precisely to your mechanical infrastructure. By implementing intelligent setback schedules and dynamic load management, facility owners significantly lower monthly utility expenditures while extending the operational lifespan of critical boilers, chillers, and air handling equipment.
Optimize HVAC Efficiency Through Control Strategy
Arvin Air believes that in order for HVAC systems to operate at their maximum efficiency and consistently meet design parameters, an effective controls strategy should be considered. Good Controls design requires in depth knowledge of HVAC systems. Equipment can have the proper capacity, but if the control system fails to operate that equipment effectively, it can lead to poor total system performance and early failure. Arvin looks at the system first and strives to find solutions that improve Total Performance. We offer controls system design, installation and remote monitoring of critical spaces and processes.
Upgrading to modern DDC controls prevents short-cycling, balances component runtime, and reduces overall wear and tear on expensive boilers, chillers, and air handling units. Automated scheduling and setback strategies ensure energy is never wasted during off-hours, resulting in measurable monthly utility savings.

How Direct Digital Control (DDC) Works
Direct Digital Control ( DDC) has an input device, which feeds into a Programmable Microprocessor, which will then deliver an output to an operator addressed on the system. DDC Controllers can be programmed to control pressure in a space, tightly control humidity and temperature or reduce building load by following the sun as it moves from east to west, preventing overcooling and underheating. In Critical Processes an Alarm can be programmed to activate if parameters are not being met. Arvin can monitor your system from our office and change variables to proactively avoid problems.
Beyond basic temperature regulation, integrated BMS networks allow for comprehensive zone control, dynamic static pressure management, and automated ventilation based on real-time occupancy. When parameter thresholds are breached, 24/7 remote monitoring enables our technicians to run diagnostics, adjust setpoints off-site, and resolve issues before they impact comfort or operations.
